Shine Bright Like an Emerald- and a Giveaway!

It’s done! The $70 buffet we purchased off Craigslist is finally done!!  This post probably has way too many photos, but I hope you enjoy them!!

It might be my favorite redo to date.  It wasn’t all candy and roses though….there was a ton of elbow grease involved.   But, it was all worth it.

The color we chose is Behr’s Green Grass.  I’ll have a post on the tutorial soon.  It turned out to be the exact color I had in mind.

The prints in the frames are temporary….the frames won’t change, but I’ve got some DIY art simmering on the brain.  I haven’t finished styling it yet, but I was so eager to show you guys her makeover thus far!

I love the view walking down the hallway.

The knobs are from D. Lawless Hardware–who by the way just started a Pinterest account!  I won a $50 giftcard (whoop whoop!) from Trina so it came in super handy and the timing couldn’t have been better for this piece!  I purchased a few to choose from, and landed on these!

For the top drawer:

Diamond Cut Clear Acrylic Knob – Large Three Ring Base – Brass Plated 1-3/8″

Here are some other sweet glass knobs if you’re interested.

It was John’s idea to put 4 of these dangly Octagonal Polished Brass Drop pulls on the bottom drawer.  Because four is better than two. ;)

To remind you of our starting point:

Now she shines bright like an diamond emerald.  Our front room is coming together beautifully, slowly but surely!

Now on to EVEN MORE juicy stuff!  D. Lawless reached out to me about doing a giveaway so I emailed Trina to get her take.  You know, because I’m not trying to be a giveaway copycat. ;)

Up for grabs are TWO $50 gift cards to D. Lawless Hardware!!!  Yes, two lucky people will get a $50 gift card.  You can get a lot for that because their prices are amazing.  It’s super easy to use (I know from experience) AND you can use your gift card to pay for the shipping cost.  It doesn’t get much better.

To enter the giveaway there are just a couple very easy rules!  You can leave one comment per completed rule.

I LOVE it! I’m guessing in the tutorial you will explain how you made it looks sort of aged with the weathering look of the green? Looks like you added some brown or something in there?
