How does Monday always seem to come so quickly? I took last Friday off so we could go home (to Indiana) for a wedding this weekend. One of my good friends from high school/college got married, which was a blast!
John and I are notorious for forgetting to take pictures, but we did take a few at the wedding:

We spent a lot of time with family and friends, which we can never get enough of! And because John and I both have birthdays in December, my family surprised us with a cookie cake that said, “December Birthdays Really Stink, Happy Half Birthday to the Spinks!” Sorry, no picture of the cake….obviously I dug in before there was time for all that. But seriously, how cute is that?!

I love half birthdays…except I never celebrate mine. One of my friend’s birthdays is on my half birthday so I always try to squeeze in a bit of birthday celebrating when I’m out with him on his day.

Looks like y’all had fun and the cake was such a thoughtful idea. You might have to make that an annual ritual! The little rhyme is too cute! My daughter has a birthday in November and I have wondered what it’s going to be like being so close to Christmas. Guess we will see.
